Job Summary
Under the direction of the Maintenance Operations Manager, the custodian will assist in keeping the campus clean and safe. They will perform routine and special cleaning of facilities and buildings to ensure they are clean, sanitary and in orderly condition. In addition, the custodian will support campus events and rentals including setup and breakdown.Essential Functions
20% – Sweeps, mops, waxes and vacuums floors/carpets (Must operation equipment such as buffer, auto-scrubbers and burnishers)20% – Cleans classrooms, common areas, restrooms, locker rooms and equipment; Washes and cleans walls, windows, vents, lights including replacing ceiling lamps20% – Event Setup and Support including the moving of Table, Chairs, Riser and Tents20% – Dusts and polishes furniture and fixtures; Empties trash for classrooms and common areas. 15% – Performs assigned tasks in response to requests and complaints; Keeps assigned tools and/or equipment in clean and safe working condition; Moves furniture and equipment5% – Performs other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications
Completion of formal or informal education or experience which assures the ability to read, write, and speak at a level sufficient for the successful completion of the job duties as described. Desired Qualifications

Positions in this class typically require: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body.Working Conditions: Work is primarily performed in an indoor environment with moderate exposure to hazardous materials (such as chemicals, fumes, odors, poor ventilation, gasses, blood, or other body fluids). Work may sometimes occur in dusty or seldom occupied facilities and as such, moderate exposure to dust or other particulates can be expected. Some indoor work environments may not be air-conditioned. Portions of work tasks may be completed outdoors which involve exposure to a variety of weather conditions, for short or long durations, including rain, wind, dust, cold temperatures, and extreme desert heat. May require the use and climbing of ladders. Some work may be performed in an office/computer workstation and require the use of a computer and keyboard for training, to check emails, and/or communicate with coworkers and supervision. This classification requires that an incumbent be on their feet, standing, or walking while performing duties, for the majority, if not all, of a work shift. How to Apply
