For more than 26 years, we have provided on-site educational services in hospitals, helping these school-age patients continue their education during treatment and reintegrate successfully into the classroom. Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our teams in Greater Boston area (Cambridge, Somerville, Brookline, Boston, and Allston) for the school year. This unique position will involve floating between fast-paced behavioral health facilities provided coverage as needed for our teams.

 

Our teachers provide academic support to child and adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Additionally, you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Most of our class sizes range from 8 to 15 school-age patients at any one time.

 

Position entails a 40-hour a week commitment, Monday-Friday. We offer a very generous package of paid time off including vacation time, sick time, federal holidays, and paid school breaks. Qualifications

  • B.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institution
  • Massachusetts teaching license
  • Comfortable working with students 8-17 years old
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs
  • Reliable Transportation as this is a float role
  • Candidate needs to be flexible and be able to be reached early in the morning for coverage as needed
